Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Haridwar to Guptkashi / Sitapur
Distance : 200–220 kms | Time : (8–10 hrs)
Start your journey early in the morning from Haridwar and drive towards Guptkashi via Rishikesh. The route takes you through the scenic confluences of Devprayag (Alaknanda & Bhagirathi), Srinagar, and Rudraprayag (Alaknanda & Mandakini), offering mesmerizing views of rivers and mountains throughout the journey. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you move deeper into the Garhwal Himalayas, passing through winding roads, lush valleys, and small hill towns. By evening, reach Guptkashi or Sitapur, check in to your hotel, enjoy a warm meal, and relax for the night in preparation for the Kedarnath trek.
Day 2: Guptkashi to Kedarnath
Distance : 30 kms drive + 16–18 kms trek | Time : (8–10 hrs)
Begin your day early and drive to Gaurikund, the starting point of the Kedarnath trek. After completing registration and preparations, start your trek towards Kedarnath on a well-defined trail alongside the Mandakini River. The route passes through Jungle Chatti, Bheembali, and Linchauli, offering stunning views of waterfalls, valleys, and snow-capped peaks. The trek is gradual but long, with facilities like tea stalls, rest points, and medical camps available along the way. For those who prefer, pony, palki, and helicopter services are also available. Reach Kedarnath by evening, check in to your accommodation, and experience the divine aura of the temple. Overnight stay near Kedarnath.
Day 3: Kedarnath to Guptkashi
Distance : 16–18 kms trek + 30 kms drive | Time : (8–10 hrs)
Wake up early to attend the morning darshan at Kedarnath Temple and soak in the peaceful spiritual atmosphere surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks. After breakfast, begin your descent towards Gaurikund, retracing the same scenic trail along the Mandakini River. Once you reach Gaurikund, board your vehicle and drive back to Guptkashi or Sitapur. Day 4: Guptkashi to Haridwar
Distance : 200–220 kms | Time : (8–10 hrs)
After breakfast, begin your return journey from Guptkashi to Haridwar. Drive through the same beautiful route via Rudraprayag, Srinagar, and Devprayag, enjoying the last views of the Himalayan rivers and valleys. Reach Haridwar by evening, marking the end of your Kedarnath Yatra with unforgettable spiritual and scenic memories.
