Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Manali to Jobra/Chika

Distance : 40–50 km | Time : 2–3 hrs


Start your adventure early from Manali and drive to Jobra/Chika village, the base for the trek. The scenic drive passes through pine forests, rivers, and picturesque villages. Arrive by afternoon, check in to tents or guesthouse, and prepare for the trek ahead. Overnight stay in Jobra.

Distance : 10 km | Time : 5–6 hrs


After breakfast, begin the trek from Jobra through beautiful pine forests, streams, and meadows. The trail is gradual and beginner-friendly. Reach the Balu Ka Gera campsite by afternoon, enjoy a warm meal, and rest for the night in tents.

Distance : 10–12 km | Time : 6–7 hrs


Start trekking towards Shea Goru, crossing rivers, alpine meadows, and snow patches. The trail offers stunning views of surrounding Himalayan peaks and open landscapes. Arrive at Shea Goru campsite, set up tents, and enjoy the peaceful high-altitude environment. Overnight stay in tents.

Distance : 12–14 km | Time : 8–9 hrs


Begin early for the most exciting day — the summit climb to Hampta Pass (4,270 m). Trek through snowfields, rocky ridges, and steep ascents. Reach the pass and enjoy panoramic views of the Lahaul Valley and surrounding peaks. Descend towards Chatru campsite in the barren Lahaul Valley for an overnight stay.

Distance : 65 km drive | Time : 3–4 hrs


After breakfast, begin the descent via road or trek (depending on package) back to Manali. The drive takes you through the scenic Lahaul Valley and Rohtang region. Check in to hotel or guesthouse in Manali and rest overnight.

By Air

The nearest airport is Bhuntar Airport (Kullu-Manali Airport), located around 50 km from Manali. From Bhuntar, you can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Manali.

By Train

The nearest railway station is Joginder Nagar Railway Station, about 150 km from Manali.

By Road

Manali is well-connected by road to major cities like Delhi, Chandigarh, and Shimla. You can take volvo buses, private taxis, or self-drive cars to reach Manali.
