Trek Itinerary
Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Sankri
Distance : 200 kms | Time : (8–9 hrs)
Start your adventure early in the morning from Dehradun and embark on a picturesque 190 km drive to Sankri. The route takes you through lush valleys, charming hill stations, and alongside rivers like Yamuna and Tons. En route, pass through scenic towns such as Mussoorie, Purola, and Mori. The final stretch through Govind National Park offers breathtaking views of the forests and foothills of the Himalayas. Arrive in Sankri by late afternoon or evening. Sankri is a quaint mountain village and the base for many treks in the region. Check-in to your hotel or guesthouse, enjoy a hot meal, and relax for the night amidst peaceful Himalayan surroundings.
Day 2: Sankri to Sikolta
Distance : 10–12 kms drive + 5 kms trek | Time : (5–6 hrs)
Begin your day with a peaceful morning in Sankri and get ready for the next leg of the Phulara Ridge Trek. After breakfast, drive towards Taluka village, the starting point of the trek, passing through dense forests and alongside the beautiful Supin River with scenic mountain views. On reaching Taluka, start your trek towards Sikolta on a gradual and well-defined trail through lush forests of pine, oak, and rhododendron, enjoying fresh mountain air and occasional clearings with valley views. After a few hours of trekking, arrive at the serene Sikolta campsite, a beautiful meadow surrounded by forest, where you can relax, enjoy a warm meal, and spend the night in tents under the starry Himalayan sky.
Day 3: Sikolta to Bhoj Gadi via Phulara Ridge
Distance : 6 kms trek | Time : (5–6 hrs)
Start your day early with a beautiful sunrise at Sikolta and prepare for the most exciting day of the Phulara Ridge Trek. After breakfast, begin a gradual ascent through forests which soon opens up to the stunning Phulara Ridge. As you reach the ridge, experience a continuous walk along a narrow mountain crest offering breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the Himalayas, including peaks like Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, and Black Peak. The ridge walk is the highlight of the trek, surrounded by vast open skies and alpine beauty. After spending time soaking in the views, descend towards Bhoj Gadi through meadows and patches of forest. Reach the campsite by afternoon, relax in the peaceful surroundings, and enjoy an overnight stay in tents.
Day 4: Bhoj Gadi to Taluka & Drive to Sankri
Distance : 5 kms trek + 12 kms drive | Time : (3–4 hrs trek)
Begin your day with a calm morning at Bhoj Gadi and enjoy the serene mountain surroundings. After breakfast, start your descent towards Taluka village on a well-defined trail passing through dense forests, wooden bridges, and scenic clearings. The trail is mostly downhill and easy, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of the region one last time. On reaching Taluka, board your vehicle and drive back to Sankri through the same picturesque route along the Supin River. Reach Sankri by evening, relax after the trek, and enjoy an overnight stay in a guesthouse.
Day 5: Sankri to Dehradun
Distance : 200 kms | Time : (8–9 hrs)
After an early morning breakfast in Sankri, begin your return journey to Dehradun. Drive through the scenic mountain roads passing via Mori, Purola, and Mussoorie, enjoying beautiful views of rivers, forests, and valleys along the way. Reach Dehradun by evening, marking the end of the Phulara Ridge Trek with unforgettable Himalayan memories.
